TRAINING SCHOOL 4 – COMMERCIALIZATION AND CAREER

We are happy to announce our fourth SOFTWEAR Training School at Technical University Dresden, Germany!

This training school is only open to SOFTWEAR participants.

At this training school, SOFTWEAR researchers will participate in workshops related to intellectual property rights, patents, and their role in business. They will receive hands-on training for idea generation & development, pitching practices, and case studies. Finally, they will receive guidance related to futher career planning and attend CV building workshops.

The training school will be held in TU Dresden. 5-9 May 2025, Location – Werner Hartmann Bau, 2nd floor Meeting room, Nöthnitzer Str. 66, 01187 Dresden, Germany.

Accommodation and Travel

Dormero Hotel Dresden City (Accommodation for SOFTWEAR students and P.Is will be booked by the organiser)

Travel between the institute and the Dormero Hotel is via bus route 85, between Wasaplatz and Helmholtzstrasse bus stops (approximately 10 minute bus ride). Bus schedules are available on the DVB app.

Travel

By plane: via Dresden airport or Berlin airport.

From Berlin airport, Dresden can be reached via train or bus directly from the airport. For information, tickets, and schedules, refer to FlixBus (for bus) and DB (for train).

From Dresden airport, the hotel can be reached via S-bahn and connecting trams and bus. The ticket price for a 1-hour journey is €3.20. Refer to the DVB app for information, tickets, and schedules. Taxis are also available.

By train: via Dresden Main Station (Hauptbahnhof)

Travel from Dresden Main Station to Hotel Dormero via Tram 9 from Hauptbahnhof towards Prohlis. Ticket price is €3.20.
