TRAINING SCHOOL 3 – DISSEMINATION AND OUTREACH
We are happy to announce our third SOFTWEAR Training School at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria!
The training school is open to all SOFTWEAR participants.
At this workshop, SOFTWEAR researchers will participate in workshops on scientific writing, combining soft actuators for devices, social media training, video training, and receive guidance on dissemination and outreach for research. The workshop also includes an excursion to Lenzig, an innovative fiber & textile manufacturer.

Venue
The training school will be held at Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria, in the building called TN tower, 13th floor at the Somnium seminar room. Address: Altenbergerstrasse 69, 4040 Linz.
Linz is a creative, modern city at the river Danube. It represents the modern Austria with its multimedia museum (Ars Electronica Center), 4 universities, a lively modern art and culture scene (mural harbor, theaters, art university), a very creative start-up scene as well as a host for leading industrial companies in steel, chemical industry and sensors. Enjoy spending a week in the Culture Capital of Europe 2009 and the UNSECO City of Multimedia Arts. Linz offers a rich selection of shops and restaurants surrounded by a lavish green suburb along the Danube, connecting it to people from all over Europe.

Accommodation for SOFTWEAR PhD students will be booked and organized by Johannes Kepler University. Students accommodation will be in Hotel Sommerhaus.
Travel
By plane: You can fly either to Vienna Airport or directly to Linz (Blue Danube Airport).
From Vienna Airport you can travel by train to Linz (many plane trips also directly include the train to Linz if Linz is selected as the destination (LNS = Linz train station and LNZ = Linz Airport).

Ticket price: 3.70 EUR. Please take note that buses operate only between 5:00-23:30 (every hour) and from 6-12 on Saturday. There are taxis available outside of these hours.
By train: You can travel to Linz main train station (Hauptbahnhof).
From Linz Train station to JKU and Hotel Sommerhaus: You can travel by tramway
